Must Haves for a Baby

LittletonFamily_67.JPG

I have two kids, and they are six years apart. I would like to think that I’ve learned a lot about baby gear over the last nine years… It really did improve in the six years between EJ1 and EJ2! What I really learned is: how well any one product works for you, depends entirely on the child. My son had really bad reflux and was only content in the Momaroo, my daughter didn’t need to be rocked constantly and didn’t really care for it. That said, here are some of my favorites.

Cutest Infant Clothing

  • Monica & Andy: the best organic cotton onesies

  • Zara: all the little fashion outfits

  • The Beaufort Bonnet Company: for traditional clothing

  • La Coqueta: for special occasions

Favorite Skin Products

  • SheaMoisture Raw Shea Chamomile & Argan Oil Baby Healing Lotion

  • Rosebud salve

  • Supergoop! sunblock

Diapering Products

  • Babyganics baby wipes

  • Boudreaux’s Butt Paste

  • Seventh Generation diapers

Stroller

Now more than just a list, the ultimate question… what stroller should I buy?! Once you have narrowed down your budget, you should look on a site with great sales like Albeebaby. You can try them all out at a store like BuyBuyBaby; whether it be an umbrella stroller or an all-terrain stroller BBB has a demo model on the floor. Our stroller is an OrbitBaby, which is no longer made. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten the Uppababy. That said, I have an OLD used Bugaboo in New Orleans and I love it.

Car Seat

Our infant seat for EJ1 & EJ2 was an OrbitBaby because they made a complete system. EJ1 had the Orbit toddler seat, and EJ2 has a Nuna Rava, which I LOVE. I would have absolutely opted for a Nuna Pipa infant seat if we hadn’t been locked in to the Orbit.
